Keansburg, NJ – Keansburg Amusement Park will host their first annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29. The Oktoberfest fun runs from 12pm to 9pm on Saturday and from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday.
The weekend will feature ride specials, contests and drink specials. Traditional Oktoberfest food and music will also be featured during the two-day festival.
Owned by the Gehlhaus family, Keansburg Amusements and Runaway Rapids continues its 109 year tradition of offering family fun on the Jersey Shore. Park attractions include rides, games, go carts, fishing pier, and food . |Superstorm proves no match for Keansburg Amusement Park (View web site)|
As promised by its owners in the days after superstorm Sandy, the Keansburg Amusement Park was back in business on March 23 — just as spring arrived.
Although a large part of the park was destroyed or damaged during the Oct. 29 storm, the Gehlhaus family, which owns the park, seized the opportunity for regrowth.

Since January 10th, a group of die-hard, Keansburg Boardwalk loving folks have collected photos of families at the Boardwalk in order to present them to the owners as a "Thank You" gift for their restoration efforts after Hurricane Sandy strictly on a "pay it forward" idea. Not only did the Gehlhaus Family restore the Boardwalk, they made it better than ever!
